My Child's Not Perfect

Sitting watching 'My Child's Not Perfect' and there's one boy who has waited 8 years to get a diagnosis, basically because he didn't tick the boxes that they feel you need to be pigeoned-holed in.

I totally understand how frustrating that can be. We're in the same situation waiting for doctors to give Bee a diagnosis rather than just saying she is just 'Bee' because she doesn't fit in the little boxes they deem people have to, to have a condition/disability etc.

I even got asked by the doctor why I felt I needed a diagnosis! When you have people tutting at your child simply because they are having one of their 'episodes' and are findng it hard to control themself, you just feel like telling them that it's not your child's fault, they have 'X'. Also once you know what it wrong, then you can go about trying to deal with it the best you can and of course hopefully getting the help and advice you all need.
